In the last years of the 20th Century and into the beginning of the 21st, there were several Australasian racehorses that could rightfully have assumed the title of True Champion. When Makybe Diva won her third Melbourne Cup in a row, she seemed to move to an even higher level, the Best of the Best.

This painting depicts the Diva and three other champions (all Cox Plate winners), Northerly, Octagonal and Sunline, heading into the straight, in what could be called the Turn of the Century.
